Board of directors

The Blackstone Lake Cottagers Association is a member-based, non-profit organization that is run by a Board of Directors who volunteer their time. Work that we do is inspired and made possible by organizations such as the Georgian Bay Association, Georgian Bay Land Trust, Georgian Bay Forever, Georgian Bay Biosphere, Federation of Ontario Cottagers' Associations and the Township of the Archipelago.

  • Kathy Watts

I was first introduced to beautiful Blackstone Lake courtesy of Dave and Ethel and Colin McFayden and I fell in love with the Blackstone! That was back in 1997! Luckily we were invited back every year until 2016 when we were lucky enough to get our own slice of heaven on earth! This is my place to recharge, refocus. Daytime I'm in the lake, nighttime, I work on puzzles and watch Pride and Prejudice on dvd...yup we go old school at 115 Lawsons Bay!! This is my first year on the board. So excited to be helping out!

  • Lisa Lucas

Lisa has been enjoying summers on Blackstone since August 2020. Although she is new to the area after cottaging for many years in Haliburton, she’s been enjoying all that Blackstone and the Parry Sound area have to offer. With prior board experience with provincial and national organizations, Lisa is looking forward to learning more about the history of the BLCA and hopes to contribute to the environmental integrity of the lake.

  • Barb Metelka

Married into a cottaging family over 40 years ago and considers Blackstone Lake her refuge.

  • Matt Hackett

Since 1985, Matthew has spent summers on Blackstone Lake with his family, developing a deep connection to its natural beauty and peaceful surroundings. With 15 years experience as a Paramedic, he brings his knowledge of emergency response to our lake community.
