Explore Our Shores 2024!

This Sunday, Katrina Krievens, Aquatic Conservation Programs Manager for the Georgian Bay Biosphere will be leading an Explore Our Shores paddle for Blackstone only.  And the weather forecast looks favourable.   This should appeal to all ages, but we hope it might be of special interest to our youth.  The paddle would start at Anglers Inn launch area and go up through the fish sanctuary and river.  To minimize parking demands the thought was that water access folks could tow a canoe or kayak over to their dock at Anglers, and road access folks could generally paddle over - as parking on a weekend can be pretty tight.

Registration isn't necessary but it would be helpful to know what numbers to expect, so please send an email (to blackstonelakeca@gmail.com) with numbers if you plan to participate.

We do have a few kayak loaners available too but you must provide your own lifejacket, wear sunscreen etc.  If you would like to borrow a kayak, same email.  First come, first served.
